We've created this online shop for our client okidokids, keeping the latest trends in UX/UI design in mind, with the possibility of finding your desired product in less than three clicks. The shop design is simplistic, and we chose bright colours to highlight important information. The page is fully responsive and very easy to navigate.
Challenge

The main chal­lenge when design­ing an online shop is to com­bine an appeal­ing look with func­tion­al­i­ty and great user experience. 

Our main goal with this project was to cre­ate a store that presents oki­dokids cloth­ing in an appeal­ing way, and allows users to find their desired prod­uct with min­i­mum fuss.

The aim was also to utilise the lat­est UX/ UI require­ments, and be respon­sive on mul­ti­ple screen sizes.

Solution

We used a min­i­mal­is­tic design approach to make the web­site more trans­par­ent and easy to nav­i­gate, with the use of a white back­ground and bright colours to high­light impor­tant elements.

The blog sec­tion was includ­ed not only to serve an SEO pur­pose but also to pro­vide added val­ue for par­ents who are search­ing for inspi­ra­tion regard­ing fash­ion and style for their kids. 

oki­dokids under­stands that all chil­dren are dif­fer­ent and they should have the pos­si­bil­i­ty to express this unique­ness in the way they look. We tried to sup­port oki­dokids in deliv­er­ing a solu­tion that would help them keep this promise.

Brand Style Guide

Colours
The combination of orange and pink that was chosen for the okidokids logo provides freshness and playfulness. We used the same colours to highlight important information on the website. The white background offers good exposure for products and ensures a clean and simple website.
Fonts
Bitter
Bitter is specially designed for comfortably reading on any computer or device. The robust design started from the austerity of the pixel grid, based on rational rather than emotional principles. It combines the large x-heights and legibility of the humanistic tradition with subtle characteristics in the characters that inject a certain rhythm to flowing texts.
Raleway
Raleway is an elegant sans-serif typeface family. It is a display face and the font set features both old style and lining numerals, standard and discretionary ligatures, a fairly complete set of diacritics, as well as a stylistic alternate inspired by more geometric sans-serif typefaces than its neo-grotesque inspired default character set.
